MY PROMISE TO MY PICKERING NEIGHBOURS

Real conversations on the doorstep, at the kitchen table, and in community spaces — because every voice in Ward 2 matters.
Principled, transparent leadership at City Hall — bringing residents, businesses, and neighbours to the same table.
Turning promises into outcomes: safer streets, smarter growth, and services Pickering families can rely on.
MEET STACEY

Stacey Lepine-Fisher has called Pickering home since 1998. With her husband, she raised their two sons here — first in Ward 1 and then in Ward 2, where the family has lived for more than 20 years.
Pickering is more than where Stacey lives — it's where her family put down roots, where lifelong friendships were formed, and where she built a deep commitment to community service. From local schools and sports fields to neighbourhood events and small businesses, she understands the issues facing residents because she has lived them alongside her neighbours.
For more than 30 years, Stacey has dedicated her career to strengthening communities and creating opportunities for children, youth, and families. Her work has focused on bringing people together, removing barriers, building partnerships, and helping people reach their full potential.

She has been recognized as a collaborative leader who turns ideas into action — playing a key role in researching and developing comprehensive strategies to address poverty-related barriers impacting students and families across Durham Region. By bringing together community organizations, educators, government partners, and local leaders, she helped create practical solutions that improved access to food, clothing, recreation, school supports, and essential services for thousands of children and families.
Her commitment to community extends far beyond her professional work. Stacey has devoted countless volunteer hours to governance and community leadership roles, including serving as President of the College of Early Childhood Educators, Vice President of Durham Children's Aid Society, Chair of Angel Investors Durham, Co-Founder of the Durham Affordable Access to Recreation Committee, and a member of the Durham Best Start Committee.
Her expertise has also been recognized at regional and provincial levels through appointments to Ministry of Education advisory committees, post-secondary advisory committees, mental health and family support initiatives, and cross-sector leadership tables focused on improving outcomes for children, youth, and families.
Throughout every role, Stacey has built a reputation for listening, building consensus, and delivering results. She believes the best solutions are developed when people work together, respect different perspectives, and focus on what matters most.
Today, Stacey is running for Pickering City Council because she believes local government should be accessible, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves. Residents want safe neighbourhoods, responsible growth, vibrant public spaces, strong community connections, and a voice that is heard at City Hall.
As your City Councillor, Stacey will bring thoughtful leadership, practical solutions, and a genuine commitment to serving the people of Pickering. She believes leadership starts with listening and that trust is earned through action.
Most importantly, Stacey believes decisions should be guided by the people who live, work, raise families, and build businesses in our community.
"I love Pickering. This community has given so much to my family over the years, and I believe it deserves leadership that is approachable, accountable, and committed to putting people first. I am running because I care deeply about our future and want to help build a city that is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and full of opportunity for everyone."
Putting People First in Pickering
Listening. Leading. Delivering.
IN THE COMMUNITY

THE PLATFORM
Listening. Learning. Leading. Serving.
Pickering is growing, and the decisions made today will shape our city for generations. Growth can bring new homes, businesses and opportunities, but only when it is supported by responsible planning, strong infrastructure, sound financial management and meaningful resident involvement.
I am not entering this race with promises that one councillor can fix everything. I am running to do the work: to listen before I lead, ask difficult questions, bring people together and make thoughtful decisions grounded in evidence and the best interests of our community.
As an independent candidate, I have no political party ties or ambitions beyond serving Pickering. I do not run any Facebook groups and do not engage in self-serving engagements. My commitment is to the residents of Ward 2, and to leadership that is visible, respectful, prepared and accountable.
My platform is built on four priorities:
Across all four priorities, I will work to protect the places and relationships that define our community:
Protecting these assets also requires financial care. I will not support major acquisitions or commitments without understanding the full cost, risks, responsibilities and impact on taxpayers.
For more than 30 years, I have led complex organizations, managed public and charitable resources, built cross-sector partnerships and worked alongside communities to solve difficult problems. I understand governance, budgets, accountability, community engagement and the difference between announcing an idea and delivering a result.
I am running to listen, learn, lead and serve our community — with absolutely no political ties, a caring heart and a clear commitment to putting people first.
Putting People FIRST in Pickering
Removing POLITICS and replacing with COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP. Visible leadership. Responsible decisions. A stronger Ward 2.

AN INDEPENDENT VOICE
I put my name on the ballot because I care deeply about Pickering and bring proven leadership, integrity and strength of conviction to serving our community.
I didn’t run because a friend might be sitting beside me at the Council table. I don’t belong to a political party, and I’m not campaigning alongside any other candidate. I’m running independently, with no commitment to a slate, voting bloc or predetermined agenda. My commitment is to the residents I’m seeking to serve.
I’m seeking this role because municipal service is where I want to contribute. I have no aspirations to run provincially or federally. If elected, I will serve the full Council term and will not seek a leave of absence to run in a provincial or federal election. Ward 2 residents deserve my attention, commitment and follow-through.
Throughout my career and my volunteer experiences, I’ve been known for having a strong voice, asking thoughtful questions and thinking independently, even when the conversation is uncomfortable. I listen, examine the evidence and speak up when something deserves closer scrutiny.
I will work respectfully with every member of Council. Collaboration matters. So does the ability to disagree, challenge assumptions and make decisions on their merits. Residents deserve representatives who come prepared to deliberate, with an open mind and the confidence to reach their own conclusions.
Before supporting a decision, I will ask:
You deserve to know what I stand for, how I reach decisions and whose interests I represent. My commitment is to you, the residents of Ward 2, and to a thriving Pickering.
Putting People FIRST means bringing my own judgment to the table, and being accountable for it.
